MASS YOUTH SOCCER IMPLEMENTATION OF US SOCCER BIRTH YEAR MANDATES
 
In the 2017/18 soccer year, group play was relabeled from Age to Grade. The Grade group eligibility parameters are based on birth date ranges and the US Soccer labels for each player are appropriately used.
 
Grade 3/4 South Shore Soccer League Travel (Formerly U10)
Grade 3/4 travel program is offered to 3rd and 4th graders.  Teams are formed based on the previous coach evaluations, professional evaluations and from the previous playing season and play in the South Shore Soccer League (SSSL). All players participating in the travel program will follow all current SSSL by-laws ruling as written. This also pertains to making an effort, depending on level and numbers of player sign-ups, to place teams in SSSL Divisions 1 - 3 according to ability level. All efforts will be made to place all players wishing to travel, certain exceptions may be necessary to limit numbers if teams fall outside of preferred size. The format is 7v7 (seven players verse seven players).

Grade 5/6 South Shore Soccer League Travel (formerly U12)
Raynham Soccer teams playing at the Grade 5/6 play in the South Shore Soccer League (SSSL). Teams are formed based on the previous coach evaluations, spring professional evaluations and from the previous playing season and play in the South Shore Soccer League (SSSL). All players participating in the travel program will follow all current SSSL by-laws ruling as written. This also pertains to making an effort, depending on level and numbers of player sign-ups, to place teams in SSSL Divisions 1-3 according to ability level. A Team that plays in the fall season usually stay together for both seasons and play 9v9.

Grade 7/8 South Shore Soccer League Travel (formerly U14)
“This is the critical age for our soccer players – over 50% of players drop out of soccer – LET’S KEEP THEM PLAYING!” This is one of the most important goals in the Grade 7 and Grade 8 programs. Our Grade 7/8 program is dedicated to challenging players to be the best they can, improving their individual skills, placing them in a fair competition situation and keeping them interested in soccer. All Raynham Soccer teams play in the South Shore Soccer League (SSSL). The format is 11v11.
Grade 7/8 (Formerly U14) 8th Grade or Lower AND 1/1/2002 
 
 
Recreational Intown Leagues starting Fall 2016: Similar to the Travel League, all recreational intown league play will be in compliance with the new age group criteria commencing with the 2016/2017 season using the same criteria as the travel league play. The playing groups can be categorized as School Grades with a qualifying criteria of a date of birth range.
